A busy Business Consultancy are looking for an Accounts Assistant to process accounts for a their six offices around the UK and circa 70 staff.
Based in the City of London location this Accounts Assistant role is immediately avaiable to start and is a 6mth contract to permement so candidates that are on max 1 week notice will suit the role.

Profile
THE ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT CANDIDATE: PERSONAL QUALITIES
The successful candidate must be able to work accurately with a minimum of supervision and will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work. They should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise, work under pressure and complete within deadlines. They should grasp new concepts quickly and see the wider picture. They should be able to communicate effectively with non-finance people, and work as a member of a small team.
THE ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
- Experience with Sage 50 Accounts
- High proficiency with Excel
NICE TO HAVES
- An understanding of the treatment of work in progress
- An understanding of the treatment of prepayments
- Experience of project based accounting
- Some accounting exam passes or a qualification in bookkeeping or credit control
Job Offer
In return my client will offer an immediate 6 mth contract and possible permement role thereafter.
HOURS AND BENEFITS
37.5 hour week, flexible start/finish times and paid overtime or time off in lieu. If taken permanent: 25 days per year annual leave plus statutory public holidays; company pension scheme (currently 3% contribution from employee and 5% from employer, based on total earnings); interest-free season ticket loan; discretionary bonuses.
