The Company:
Aston Carter has been engaged to recruit for a highly respected market leader in the distribution sector, based in Wetherill Park. With a promptly renowned brand name associated with high quality products, this company is seeking a technically sound Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This role with allow the opportunity to work with other like-minded, career focussed individuals in a close-knit culture. Ongoing training and development will be provided for the successful candidate.

The Role:
The business is part of a large multinational group and this Assistant Accountant will provide support to a commercially focused team. The company is strong on compliance and controls and are looking for a candidate who is not only passionate about timely and accurate reporting, but someone who is highly experienced with balance sheet reconciliations. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role will include;

• Month-end duties
• Profit and Loss variance analysis and commentary
• Assistance with the treasury function (including but not limited to cash flow and banking)
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
• Preparation of general ledger reconciliations
• Revenue reporting and recognition
• Other ad-hoc reporting as requested

The Successful Candidate:

• Will have a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar Accountant role, ideally in a fast-paced business.
• Be Degree Qualified
• CA or CPA Qualified (or studying towards)
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups and Pivot tables)
• An ability to take ownership of your work
