A highly commercial role, reporting to the HoF, the role guarantees risks are appropriately managed and maintains a strong control environment by ensuring all controls are in place. Liaising and managing both internal and external stakeholders, the job holder will need to ensure process compliance so that source system data is complete and accurate as well as adhering to policies, procedures and accounting standards.

Description
Leading all aspects of Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Coordinating with Auditors, as required
Leading all aspects of sanctions compliance. Coordinating with legal counsel, Group compliance and end markets to ensure robust governance, up to date sanctions policy and procedures are in place and entrenched into BAU activities
Tracking action plans and leading cross-functional teams dealing with control navigator initiatives and controls self-assessments
Leading the risk management process, ensuring the identification, assessment, management and monitoring of risks. Reporting key business risks into relevant Audit and Risk Committees meetings. Ensuring that the risk management process is embedded in everyday activities at all levels e.g. Project Management
Ensuring all business Controls, including Controls excellence dashboard mitigating controls, critical transactions are valid reviewed and mitigated
Managing the annual review process, ensuring reviewed and updated plans are communicated to the business as required
Monthly and quarterly controls and compliance update presentations to management and the board
Complying with local laws and regulations (including tax, minority interests, external regulatory reporting)
Supporting all internal stakeholders as required
Full involvement with external audit as required for areas of responsibility
Profile
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Solid experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment (desirable)
A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically ECC / BPC
Excellent analytical skills
A good understanding of other functional areas, e.g. operations and marketing would be an advantage
An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and external parties
Ability to handle large volumes of information and present it in an accurate and relevant format
Rational decision making, and problem-solving ability is essential
Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
Job Offer
Up to £43,000 plus a superb target bonus, strong pension contributions and shares in the company.
