Schlumberger Guyana Inc. Materials Coordinator Job Summary: Supervise the department activities, functions, and personnel relating to planning, buying, receiving, storage, management, and delivering of all materials and goods which will ultimately minimize the Company's investment and exposure with Materials Management Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Represent the Materials Management function at the location Lead, direct, train and manage all materials personnel including Storekeepers and other general warehouse persons. Maintain district policies and strategy for Best-in-Class strategies related to SLB's finished goods management that support revenue growth while increasing inventory turns, reduces inventory related expenses, and allows for maximum predictability. Management to specific Balance sheet and Inventory Expense Targets by material commodity type. Manage the analysis and balancing of SRT Tool versus demand plans and actual Sales, for changing market conditions. Conduct warehouse specific cycle counting program. Ensure material/equipment receipt, storage, issuance, return & disposal is performed in a compliant and timely manner. He/she is responsible for ensuring high levels of housekeeping are maintained. Maintain timely input to Warehouse Management System and ensure accurate stock transaction records. Continuously improve processes to increase warehouse efficiency and reduce cost. Prepare and provide monthly inventory reports as deemed required by management. Update and communicate Key Performance Indicators and best practices to the warehouse team and key parties. Implement, as applicable, advanced materials techniques (eg. kitting, Kanban etc) to improve local material management efficiency. Communicate with management occurences of warehousing failures (eg. damaged or lost goods) and participate in investigations and actions to prevent reoccurence. Comply with applicable company policies including, but not limited to finance, personnel and QHSE Experience and Skills: Professional Preferably minimum 2 years' experience in Materials Management Capable of managing direct materials personnel, and the ability to work through other organizations to achieve objectives Ability to work from high level objectives, and to develop and manage to detailed plans of action Able to analyze and solve problems. Behavioral Passion for customer service Effective at cross-functional teamwork Ability to interact and manage several internal customers Ability to juggle and prioritize numerous requests simultaneously Discretion when dealing with confidential information. Education: Bachelor degree in Material Management or Inventory Management (or comparable degree) or requisite work experience.
