This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the banks' implementation of the Economic and Financial Statistics (EFS) reporting to APRA leveraging Axiom.

Role:

The Regulatory Reporting Risk, Control & Governance team will work closely with business stakeholders and regulatory reporting projects to deliver an enhanced control framework, including data quality assurance in accordance with the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework. You will ensure all operational risk compliance for Regulatory Reporting meets APRA's new quality guidance for EFS returns.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of an enhanced control framework, including data quality assurance
  • Contribution of metrics to measure issues, risk and controls and any associated issue management-related tasks
  • Support the delivery of controls, processes and data governance to meet APRA's new reporting quality guidance for the EFS returns.
  • Risk & control assessments for end to end processes to ensure that roles & responsibilities are clearly defined, regulatory reporting risks are documented and controls to mitigate the risks are designed and operating effectively
  • Provide operational risk advice to Regulatory Reporting teams on procedural and risk management issues
  • Interpret APRA's standards and reporting instructions and their application
  • Support the remediation projects as a result of documentation review
  • Establish effective relationships with clients in Business Units, Operational Risk/Compliance and Audit teams
  • Manage and improve controls across the Regulatory Reporting teams

Requirements:
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Experience in risk management and financial reporting roles in the Banking or Financial Services sector
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting requirements and/or banking products
  • Ability to interact with a large and varied stakeholder group across various business units within the Group
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting requirements and/or banking products
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of the risk and control environment and risk practices in the Financial Services environment
  • The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment
  • Sound conceptual, analytical, research and problem solving skills
