Financial Accounting Manager

A leading, international law firm undergoing a finance transformation is looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager into a broad role across reporting, treasury, and systems projects.

My client is a world-class law firm boasting excellent offices, a professional and collaborative culture, and a high calibre finance function. They are currently undergoing a finance transformation project to restructure the finance function enabling them to deliver improved to support to the business. In line with this, they are recruiting a Financial Accounting Manager position in their London office.

Description

As the Financial Accounting Manager you'll report to the Financial Controller and Head of Treasury in London as your remit will be broad to encompass a number of projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivery of group reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis;

• Management of a team of 5 qualified/part-qualified individuals with a key focus on developing them;

• Support the new Head of Treasury with defining the firm's treasury strategy;

• Assisting with the post-implementation work required for the use of the new system;

• Be seen as the "go to" person for technical accounting queries in light of any new standards changes.

Profile

As a strong applicant for the Financial Accounting Manager position you will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) and ideally possess an audit background;

• Demonstrate a strong technical ability, specifically with a focus on group reporting;

• Be an excellent team leader with experience in leading and developing teams of a reasonable size;

• Show an understanding of and ability to work in a complex international environment;

• Previous professional services industry exposure will be advantageous.

Job Offer

The offer to the successful candidate for the Financial Accounting Manager role will be between £70,000-£80,000 depending on experience. You will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, L&D support, and be joining prestigious law firm with an excellent reputation.
