This Management Accountant position is with a very exciting business based in St. Ives who are currently experiencing greats ales growth leading to this role managing the transactional finance elements of the business and assisting the Financial controller at month end periods.

Although not yet a brand name they are a very exciting, dynamic and high growth private equity company who are taking their industry by storm, Based in the St. Ives area they are posting excellent sales and revenue and looking for a Strong all round Management Accountant to manage the day to day finances and assist in producing the month end figures.

They are a company investing heavily for further growth, and this role offers a great stable career for someone with good hands on financial processing and accounts production experience on Sage

Description

This Management Accountant role will support the completion of monthly accounts and management reporting, including;

  • Maintain accruals/Prepayments
  • Manage Fixed Asset register
  • Post journals via Sage 50
  • Process BACS payment runs
  • Support the annual external audit
  • Manage cash receipts/payments and support weekly cash forecasting
  • Prepare bank reconciliations & VAT returns
  • Process supplier invoices and timely payments
  • Collection & allocation of customer receipts
  • Manage monthly payroll & expenses
  • Provide active support to the Financial controller on tasks as required
  • Look for improvements in current processes

Profile

Management Accountant experience and desired characteristics;

  • Previous sales/purchase ledger experience and exposure to producing month end accounts accurately
  • Sage 50 experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and manage your own workload
  • Strong Microsoft office program knowledge (excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Good team working skills and the confidence to work as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ideally working towards completion of CIMA/ACCA, but not essential based on experience
