Finance and Accounting Manager

Manage all aspects of finance, including all internal reporting and regulatory compliance obligations, decision making and finance business partnering into the rest of the organisation. Adaptability is key, you must be able to step up into a leadership and financial advisory role whilst also willing to do kore administrative work. Enthusiasm, proactivity and positive attitude is also important to fit into this dynamic team.

Client Details

My client is recognised worldwide as a provider for one of the largest sporting event internationally. The have recently set up a new entity within their organisation in which they require a Finance and Accounting Manager to support all aspects within finance and the wider teams.

Description

The key responsibilities for this role include the following criteria;

• Working across all functions of finance from administrative tasks to running the daily operations
• Financial and management accountants
• Accounts payable/receivable
• Developing reporting and systems
• Finance business partnering with the wider organisation
• Cash management
• Point of contact for external liaisons
• Liaise with key stakeholders
• Liaise with outsource functions such as bookkeeping and tax functions
• Preparation for cash flow forecasts, financial projections and management accounts
• Support wider disciplines such as procurement and contract management
• All finance administrative tasks

Profile

• Qualified accountant (CIPFA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 5 years post qualification experience
• General interest in sports and related events
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organised
• Great attention to detail ensuring accuracy
• Provide excellent customer service as well as within teams
• A positive active attitude
• Multi tasking and prioritising workloads
• Resilient to challenges and thrives in a busy environment
