APAC Finance & Accounting Intern (Global Accounting Centre)

The interns will support the execution phase of Project NorthStar, which seeks to refine the GAC model. They will be involved in the re-evaluation of how GAC currently performs our Record-to-Report activities, and will be allocated to different areas to identify potential process improvements eg. Accounts Receivable and Payroll. With a fresh perspective, the interns will be able to challenge our current practices through working with different teams to identify best practices to put them in place. The interns will also play a role in identifying EWAPPM requirements which will become obsolete / need to be updated as a result of the rollout of new processes.

Job Description

• Collaborate with management and other work groups to provide fresh perspectives on current work processes and identify potential process improvement areas and best practices

• Responsible for communicating with various GAC work groups to gather feedback on the implementation of newly established global guidelines to identify any implementation issues faced

• Collaborate with management and other work groups to make recommendations of solutions on implementation issues faced

• Responsible for ensuring processes are executed in accordance with newly established global guidelines

Job Requirement

• Currently studying accounting and finance (year 2 - 4, with year 2 being applicable for NTU students only)

• Must be interested in finance or accounting as a long-term career

• Willing to work effectively both independently and on a team

• Good communication skills (written and verbal in English)

• Good MS Excel and Word skills

• Possess innovative thinking skills and like to think out of the box and explore new ideas
