Junior Credit Risk Quantitative Analyst KPMG in Jamaica is seeking to hire a talented, competent and highly motivated Junior Credit Risk Quantitative Analyst to join our Deals Advisory Practice in Jamaica. The Deal Advisory team supports client merger and acquisition activities by providing pricing assistance, impairment testing, intangible asset valuation, financial modelling, business valuation, debt and equity financing, negotiations and due diligence. This role offers the potential for significant development and promotion for strong performers. Job Profile The Junior Credit Risk Quantitative Analyst will be required to perform quantitative duties entailing credit risk model reviews and development. The successful candidate will also assist clients with credit strategic engagements in order to improve their credit risk management capabilities. Key Responsibilities Supporting the development and validation of credit risk models used for estimating impairments (IFRS 9 and 17) Supporting the audit teams to assess the level of impairments in the Financial Statements. Supporting other credit strategic engagements to assist clients with enhancing their credit risk management capabilities. Potential involvement with capital management and balance sheet management engagements, Engaging with vast client-base within the financial services Industry, including banks, insurers, development finance institutions, micro-lenders and retailers. Potential travel opportunities, including destination within North America, Caribbean and South Africa. Skills and Qualifications Minimum qualification; B.Sc Honours Degree in either Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience within a quantitative credit risk based role will be considered. SAS, R, Atteryx, Python, SQL skills would be desirable.
