Interim Group Financial Controller

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a large listed business in the Transport & Logistic sector. The Interim Group Financial Controller will be reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and will have a team of 3 directly reporting into them.

Description

The Interim Group Financial Controller will;

• Preparation of financial and management reports, including budgets, forecasts, management accounts, reporting packs, audit files and statutory accounts
• Controlling month and year end processes
• Management of the year-end audit process
• Managing the preparation of corporation tax schedules and VAT returns
• Responsible for 3 direct reports

Profile

The ideal Interim Group Financial Controller will;

• Have an ACA or Chartered Accountant qualification, ideally Big 4 trained
• Demonstrate experience in managing and developing a Finance team as well as solid leadership skills
• Be technically strong, with a high level of both financial and management accounting experience and 'hands on' accounting skill set
• Have prior exposure to an international environment with high transaction levels
• Be proficient in various accounting systems, reporting software and MS Excel
• IT Literate - with strong Excel Skills and experience in various accounting systems and reporting software

Job Offer

A competitive day rate of £400-450 based on past experience
