They have raised large amounts of money to support the organisations they truly care about and are hiring a Head of Finance who will be able to lead and manage their finance team to ensure tasks and deliverables are being achieved and are of a high quality. You will act as an integral business partner between internal colleagues and external stakeholders to provide support and strategic insight. This is a part time permanent opportunity.
Description
As a Part-time Head of Finance you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the CFO develop financial policy, systems and controls in line with the organisations objectives.
- Lead and develop a strong finance team.
- Ensure reporting and analysis are in line with statutory requirements.
- Manage financial planning process including long term forecasts.
- Monitor and manage liquidity and treasury performance.
- Provide guidance to other departments within the organisation from a financial perspective.
- Support the CFO in developing risk management process and engage with Audit and executive committee on the same.
- Develop and review valuation and financial monitoring processes.
- Undertake project work to support development of the organisation.
Profile
Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP
- Preparation of performance reports and analysis
- Experience managing teams
- Experience in investment, Fund accounting or financial services experience.
- Excellent team working skills and strong analytical ability.
- Exceptional planning skills along with strong communication skills.
- Strong IT skills including Excel and accounting systems.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Previous experience in a similar sector
- FCA regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of risk management programmes.
