Client Details

The organisation is a rapidly growing in its ability to support those companies with a social objective to better the lives of people across the UK. They have raised large amounts of money to support the organisations they truly care about and are looking for a Senior Finance manager to work with the finance team to insure high quality accounts reports are being delivered. The candidate should also be able to manage and monitor budgets and cash flow forecasts and maintain effective financial controls.

Description

As a Senior Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Manage all aspects of investment, fund and treasury accounting
  • Lead the month end process.
  • Prepare statutory reporting and returns.
  • Manage and monitor liquidity, cash flow and departmental budgets.
  • Maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
  • Review quarterly fund reporting and audited accounts and ensure expenditure and valuation are accurately recorded.
  • Liaise with managers.
  • Support investment team with training and guidance through valuation cycle.
  • Develop forecasts and budgets for departments.
  • Stay updated with accounting standards, guidance and legislation.
  • Assist Head of Finance with preparation of FCA reporting and requirements.
  • Maintain and develop accounting systems and records.
  • Undertake project work as required to develop the organisation and finance function.

Profile

Essential:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA or CA)
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Preparation of performance reports and analysis
  • Development of reports and analysis.
  • Experience in investment, Fund accounting or financial services experience.
  • Excellent team working skills and strong analytical ability.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills along with strong communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and accounting systems.
  • Flexible to take on different tasks as required.

  • Previous experience in a similar position

  • Social investment experience
  • FCA regulatory reporting
