About Tax & Legal

Deloitte China Tax and Business Advisory is the only Big Four practice that works As One across Greater China Region including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with nearly 2,000 tax people in 21 cities to advise and assist clients concerning tax and business issues. It is also a Tier One tax practice in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan (International Tax Review's World Tax 2017).

Work you'll do:

· Assist partners and directors in identifying and developing solutions for clients in view of changes in tax and accounting regulations in Hong Kong and globally

· Lead Hong Kong and/or cross-border business tax related projects for clients including multinational and local banks, securities groups, insurers and asset managers

· Advise on a wide range of business tax matters from compliance to planning. Understanding and explaining the implications of expansion, acquisition, divestment, and reorganization in local and international contexts

· Work closely with other service lines (e.g. Audit, Consulting) and other Deloitte offices in China or overseas to deliver cross-functional and/or cross-borders projects

· Manage a portfolio of clients and handle their Hong Kong profits tax compliance matters including dispute resolution

Your role as a leader:

· Understand key objectives for clients and Deloitte, align people to objectives and set priorities and direction

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree or above in tax, accounting, finance, law or other related disciplines

· Professional accounting qualification or PRC registered tax agent or lawyer is required

· Minimum 6 years of experience in tax function with CPA firms (Big 4 experience is preferred), law firms, tax authorities or large corporation.

· In-depth understanding of tax policies, rules and regulations

· Strong analytical and highly commitment to quality client service

· Strong consultation skills, communication skills, self-initiation, teamwork spirit and willingness to work under pressure

· Be mature, proactive, committed, motivated with strong sense of teamwork

· Excellent project management and interpersonal skills

· Excellent leadership and business development skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including both technical and business writing, documentation and presentation skills. Proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage

· Candidates with less experience will be considered for Manager position
