Division Description
The Finance & Accounting Division is made up of a number of core finance teams both at business unit and Group level. We perform a key management and control function in ensuring all Group financial and management reporting processes are appropriately governed. The Finance Division has overall responsibility for driving the Group budgeting and forecasting process, developing Group-focused financial insight and analysis and delivering the Group`s statutory, regulatory and external reporting. We do this through collaborative business partnering in each of the Divisions and with centralised Finance shared / specialist services.
Description of business unit
Group Manufacturing comprises a number of critical business areas including IT@BOI , Core Banking Systems Programme (CBSP), Group Payments, Group Customer Operations, Group Information Security and Group Services.
Group Manufacturing Finance work closely with both stakeholders across the Group and third parties, ensuring that there is a continued focus on delivery, developing our people, cost efficiency and supporting the achievement of the Group`s strategic priorities.
Purpose of the Role
This roles exists to ensure that monthly workload for Group Service Financial Control team can be completed on time each month. This includes preparationjournals, reconciliations, analysis and controls.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the delivery of high quality financial and management reports
- Support the preparation of reports analysing business performance
- Provide financial and analytical support as required by the ongoing business requirements and strategic initiatives
- Drive continual process improvement and efficiencies
What is the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a financial control team which oversees business transactions across a number of divisions of the Bank. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to liaise directly with the Commercial Partner team and interact with contacts on a regular basis.
Essential Qualifications
Qualified or part-qualified accountant
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience of delivery to tight deadlines
- Highly organised, enthusiastic and energetic
- Commercial acumen and string appetite to understand the business
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Knowledge of SAP / BCS
