Our Client, a reputable Global Bank is looking to add a Product Development and Management Analyst into their team. This is an initial 12 months contract and it is highly convertible.

For more than 40 years, the Bank has provided client-centric investment and risk-management solutions to a wide range of investors and institutions. Our clients include corporations, pension plans, intermediaries, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, endowments and foundations, governments and consultant partners worldwide. Investment strategies span the risk/return spectrum across geographies, investment styles and asset classes, including equity, fixed income, alternatives and private markets.
This role forms part of a team whose remit is to develop, and through active post-launch management, maintain mutual funds for the Bank's business with a focus on the APAC region. This encompasses assisting internal teams (Sales and Portfolio Management) in defining which products are needed to support investment strategies, and launch those products in a commercially successful, high-quality manner. After launch, the team must ensure that the funds remain optimally positioned and commercially viable as client requirements and the regulatory and competitive environments change.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Development
- Understand demand/requirement for investment products and solutions
- Research competitor fund information and producing appropriate analysis to support business case for new product
- Assist with the preparation of internal approval documentation, including the collation of sales estimates
- Participate in regular product development meetings and assist in project management, including maintaining project trackers, producing meeting agendas and minutes
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes in APAC region and assess the implications on the Bank's products
- Monitor and research on market trends, asset flows, peer funds/strategies, new fund launches, and provide regular updates to the business
Product Management
- Produce and distribute monthly and quarterly reports on assets under management, shareholder concentration, dividend distributions etc. for marketing and regulatory purposes
- Assist with drafting updates to product documentation (i.e. prospectus, Key Facts Statement, Key Investor Information Document, etc.) including coordinating discussions for review and internal signoffs
- Assist with preparing reports for quarterly Board of Directors meetings
- Respond to ad hoc requests from Sales and Marketing teams regarding the Bank's funds
- Document team procedures and processes for business continuity purposes
- Maintain internal product resources (e.g. updating internal database, internal SharePoint sites)
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
- The candidate should have 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Banking sector.
- Self-starter who is detail oriented, flexible, and analytical, with demonstrated time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in English; Mandarin is a plus
- Degree level education or equivalent is required
- Previous internships or demonstrated interest within asset management industry is a plus
