As a Finance Manager working in Property and Housing, the role will be responsible for maintaining the transactional integrity, accuracy and the ongoing reporting of the operations of the division. This will include the management of service charges, sinking funds and rent reviews and reporting on performance and cash flow.
Client Details
I am working exclusively with my client based in Bournemouth who are looking for a new Finance Manager. The firm specialise in Retirement Living, where they design, build and manage new homes across the South Coast, and are a division of a wider group.
Description
As the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Accounts:
- Assist with the monthly production of the management accounts for the RSL management companies and other entities.
- Provision of analysis and KPIs.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Property sales process tracking.
- Cash flow forecasting.
- Assist in the compilation of year-end statutory accounts, ensuring compliance to current accounting regulations for both standard companies act companies and registered social housing providers.
- Purchase ledger and Purchase Order monitoring.
Rent reviews:
- Administer the annual rent review processes for both affordable and private rented properties, in line with statutory regulation and client contracts.
Service Charges:
- Compile and monitor the service charge budgets and actuals and forecasts for new and existing developments.
- Liaise with Marketing to ensure proper and timely communications with the customers and both written and attendance at resident's meetings.
- Ensure compliance to current legislation.
- Review and assist with implementation of scalable procedures to manage the service charges, in conjunction with the deputy finance director.
- Recharge of utilities where supplied by communal equipment.
Other reporting:
- Assist with the compilation of other external reporting to regulatory bodies such as, (but not limited to), the Homes England, CORE.
- Assist with the production of company budgets, forecasts and business plans.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting.
Profile
To be successful in your application for Finance Manager, you should be:
- Experienced working in a similar role.
- Experienced in the industry would be advantageous.
- Actively studying ACCA/CIMA or suitably QBE.
