About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader with coaching and training new staff, developing claims strategies and driving process improvement where possible, to deliver efficient claims outcomes that benefit both their customers and the organisation.
Duties
- Assisting claims staff with holistic review and end to end management of a customer's case
- Proactive communication with customers and associated case stakeholders
- Assisting claims staff with development of tailored case management strategies and plans across all products types
- Ability to put yourself in customers circumstances, manage sensitive conversations and reach mutually beneficial outcomes
- Outcomes driven approach and positive attitude
- Proactively evaluate and make recommendations about process and business improvements
Skills and Experience
- 5 + Years of Retail Case Management experience in Life Insurance across IP, TPD, Death and Trauma
- Experience in senior or leadership role within Claims team
- Experience in strategically assessing physical health claims
- Proven ability to coach and develop claims staff and teams
- Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders
- Strong technical understanding of the rehabilitation process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to drive outcomes
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
