Senior Group Accountant

Aston Carter have partnered with an ASX Top 20 Financial Services leader in the search for an aspiring Big 4 mover or up and coming Financial Reporting gun. The company are a staple in the Australian market, they are the leader in their market segment and have developed into a true employer of choice.

The position sits within their Global Reporting team and will ensure career development and trajectory. The role will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to own the relationship with Divisional Financial Controllers across the group and the globe, whilst also providing exciting exposure right at the top of the organisation. You will be entrusted to;

• Work as a key component of the groups quarterlyand annual financial reporting team,
• Partner with the operating divisions, providing technical accounting advisory and analysis on performance,
• Be a central point of contact for the groups external audit,
• Drive automation through the groups finance teams, focused on developing a real centre of excellence,
• Provide technical accounting advice to senior leadership,
• Partner with the Group's FP&A division in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans,
• Engage with external regulatory bodies, overseeing the delivery of working papers and regulatory returns.

To be successful you will be making your first or second move out of a Big 4 and come with a keen attention to detail. Exposure to Financial Services, Insurance and top tier listed clients would be highly advantagous. You will have aspirations to develop inhouse in a group reporting environment with senior stakeholder engagement. Additionally a passion for process improvement and automation will be set ou apart from the crowd.
