Finance Manager

A Manufacturing Business are looking for a full time, permanent Finance Manager to join their busy head office in Hoddesdon, where they want somebody to have a long term plan to grow within the company.

An expert in the industry, my client are a manufacturing company based in Hoddesdon, looking for a transactional finance manager who has similar experience with managing a team of transcational and/or part qualified staff.

Description

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

• Providing management of sales and purchase ledger functions
• Managing a team of 6 employees
• Maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and customers
• Ensuring smooth, timely and accurate processing of all supplier & customer invoices
• Ensure all debt is collected within terms agreed with customers and that customer debt is managed within credit limits
• Ensure all supplier payments are made in line with payment terms
• Manage escalated supplier and credit control issues
• Continuously drive process improvements

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong working knowledge of managing both sales and purchase ledger functions
• Have a great track record of managing and developing people
• Have experience of using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Be confident in communicating both internally and externally with stakeholders
• Have good written and spoken English
• Understand the importance of working to deadlines
• Be able to prioritise workloads effectively
