Seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to carry out interesting and critical analysis for this iconic Sydney Landmark. The role works proactively to provide financial support ensuring the operational effectiveness and excellence of the assigned business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to business areas in month end financial result reporting, including accrual and correction journals, commentaries and providing management with an overall understanding of their results and variance analysis.
- Ensure business performance information provided in a timely manner, accurate and adds value in day to day decision making across the business areas. Provide financial analysis and financial administrative support to the business area.
- Analyse business proposals, including assisting Directors and Managers with business case development and providing signoff.
- Support the annual business planning process and regular forecast updates for the Business Areas, including budget and forecast preparation, review and communication.
- Assist in developing and reporting on business performance information to support the business segments' goals, including but not limited to financial, qualitative, production, customer service, operational efficiency and market share etc;
- Support the achievement of business objectives and performance targets by ensuring costs are controlled, revenue/recoveries managed, and sound financial decisions are made.
Requirements
- Extensive Excel experience and strong analytical skills
- Sound sense of financial management practices, forecasting, budgetary principles and business planning processes.
- Sun knowledge would be advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
