Accounting Support Manager

This role will ideally suit a senior accountant/assistant manager looking to progress into a management role or an existing client manager who is looking to join a larger public practice.

Our client based in Stevenage is a highly professional practice with a diverse range of clients, from small local businesses to large multinationals within various industries.

Description

Key responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, responsible for management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns and other assignments required by clients.
• Reviewing work completed by team members.
• Monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Applying understanding of Xero and according software applications to fit in with client's requirements.
• Presenting and training Xero and related applications to existing and potential clients.
• Liaising with clients directly to resolve queries or obtain further information.
• Working closely with Partners and other managers.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong IT skills and knowledge of accounting systems in particular Xero
• Client facing experience
• Bookkeeping experience within a professional practice
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with Partners, clients and staff at all levels
