Client Details

My client are a market-leader growing at an astonishing rate.

Description

  • Ownership of 5 ledgers for reconciliation
  • Processing the weekly payment runs for your ledgers, and providing remittance advice to the suppliers who have been paid
  • Dealing with opening balance tidy-up, ensuring initial tidy up is complete at Opening Balance stage, and all issues are flushed through within 14 days to enable them to be picked up at next stage
  • Verify all opening wholesaler balances by completing a statement reconciliation once the opening balance has been posted
  • Confirm all balances over £500 which are older than 60 days with the supplier prior to paying once the opening balance has been posted
  • Complete the final tidy-up following Vendor Adjustment posting
  • No unverified credit balances older than 30 days once completion accounts have been finalised
  • Ongoing tidy-up of your ledger to ensure it remains within SLA
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding any month-end statement reconciliation actions that relate to your ledger
  • Referral of any lease, utility, water, council tax issues to the Group Clerk, but responsibility for ensuring these are resolved by them
  • Escalation point from the Help desk team to resolve queries on your ledger if required, and ensure they stay within their 24 hr SLA response time
  • Ensuring all tasks for which you are responsible are completed to a high standard of quality, and the teams SLA is adhered to at all times
  • Completion of month-end statement reconciliations for some group suppliers
  • Buddy support to new team members, ensuring they are trained and fully understand all aspects of quality and the SLA requirements
  • Help create and promote a positive and supportive environment within the team
  • Willingness and ability to pick up ad-hoc tasks as directed by the team Management, and still ensure all tasks for which you are responsible for are completed on time, and to the correct standard
  • Filing up to date daily
  • Any other tasks as directed

Profile

Essential:
  • Currently studying AAT (or similar) / or completed qualification
  • Able to work to a high degree of accuracy
  • Confident of dealing with a high volume workload
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • A strong team ethic
  • Ability to take the lead within the team, in the absence of other senior team members
  • Be a go-to person for queries within the team

  • Desirable:

    • Experience of Open Accounts would be an advantage
    • Excel skills including V look ups and pivot tables
