To support the Board and Executive Committee through the development and implementation of an Enterprise risk management framework

Client Details

Our client is regulated by HM Treasury which requires them to aim to comply withFCA requirements where applicable and appropriate on a voluntary basis.

Their Board Operating framework reflects the FCA requirements for corporate governance and has a shadow compliance regime in place whereby all colleagues are expected to behave in accordance with the FCA's conduct rules and other key requirements.

Risk Appetite Assessment of the risks to the achievement of business objectives and agreement of the Organisation's tolerance of

Develop and implement an FCA 'best practice' risk management framework

Maintain overarching risk management

Ensure the training regimes developed by risk policy owners are effective in ensuring relevant staff are competent in risk management

Provide Exco, the Board and the Audit & Risk Committee with assurance and oversight

Working in partnership with other assurance functions to ensure assurance over the outsource provider in respect of Retail and B2B clients is complete and effective

Oversee, facilitate and support the completion of policy manager assurance statements to support the Annual Governance Statement in compliance with corporate governance standards and guidelines

Continually develop processes and methods to improve risk framework Horizon scanning

Establish processes to ensure the company identifies and puts plans in place to address emerging / future risks, including new risks being experienced by the FS industry

Profile

ACA/ ACCA / CIA/ CRMA/ CIMA Qualified

Proven experience in a public sector organisation

Proven experience in an FCA regulated environment

Good understanding of data quality issues, IT security and operational performance management (KPIs and KRIs)

Some previous experience of people management

To assist in the provision of a responsive risk management service that will meet the needs of the business

Ability to identify pragmatic solutions to risks and issues identified
