Description

Management Accountant Assistant role duties:

Assisting in the monthly management accounts, periodic forecasting and annual budget.

You will be assisting in the Management Accounting team in the following duties:

Monthly reporting

  • Prepare the monthly consolidated management accounts for submission to the executive team in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
  • Develop and perform monthly analytical review on the P&L, including assessment of key ratios and other KPIs.
  • Liaise with regional finance teams.
  • Continually develop and improve the TM1 consolidation processes with the aim of improving efficiency and quality of the month end close.
  • Maintain the management accounting consolidation procedures manual that includes support for all consolidation adjustments.
  • Own the internal control system process relating to the management accounting aspects of the Group consolidation.
  • Co-ordinate the monthly commentaries from divisions to compile a group commentary.
  • Preparation of management accounts pack and commentary for submission to DK.

Budgets & forecasts

  • Coordinate the group-wide annual budget and quarterly forecast process, including developing instructions and templates.
  • Prepare the Group consolidated budget & forecast for submission to the executive team and the parent company in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare divisional benchmarking to challenge assumptions used and ensure consistency around the group.
  • Be instrumental in managing an effective management accounting structure for the group.
  • Prepare additional analyses as required by the executive team.
  • Responsible for forecasting, controlling and monitoring Group capital expenditure.
  • Own the Group's internal controls systems process relating to the budget and forecasts.

Ad Hoc

  • Maintenance of the Group Management Accounting procedures manuals.
  • Provide assistance to the Group Reporting team with intercompany and monthly reporting duties where needed and applicable.
  • Provide support to the Group Financial Controller, CFO and executive team as required.
  • Assist and sense check numerical data for Business Case owners and CAPEX submissions.
  • Support and cover for other team members

Profile

Essential as Management Accountant Assistant:

- At least 3 years accounting experience.
- Part-Qualified in ACCA or CIMA or be AAT qualified
- A working knowledge of and interest in management accounting principles.
- Experience of working in a multi-currency environment.
- Highly numerate and logical with excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst working under pressure.
- Expert knowledge of and writing/editing reports using TM1.
- Excellent excel skills
- Able to deal with all levels of seniority within a multinational business.
- Committed to delivering quality results in a timely fashion.
