The role of Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in the organisation and is responsible for all accounting and finance activities in the organisation.

The Financial Controller is a wide ranging role where you will be responsible for;

• Monthly Management Accounts production including variance analysis
• budget setting and monitoring
• forecasting
• Management of a small finance team
• control of all transactional finance activity
• management of the payroll function
• internal and external stakeholder engagement
• development of financial controls and systems
• systems development including upgrade/install of a new finance system

Profile

You will possess a full CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)

You will be an established, technically strong Accountant with excellent all round Accounting skills including Financial Accounts production to IFRS.

You will have excellent people management skills.

Sector experience is NOT important, however ideally you will have Financial Management skills gained in an SME environment

Ideally you will have hands on experience of dealing with external auditors and other stakeholders.

You will have excellent systems skills including Excel.

Job Offer

A basic salary in the range of £50,000 - £60,000
