The key responsibilities of the role include:

The Project Manager role on the Implementation Team is the connection between the sale of HFS services and the live service delivery for the client, leading the launch or conversion from kick-off and discovery through go-live. The role is focused on ensuring all set-up is complete across the HFS platform and client requirements are understood. The position includes heavy client interaction at senior levels, internal collaboration, appropriate expectation setting and escalation management.

Qualifications

• Welcome the client to the organization by providing HFS information and guidance while kicking off the implementation process by requesting key data pieces and setting expectations
• Be the point person for "franchise" clients with lots of high level exposure and Sr. Mgmt oversight
• Lead discovery sessions to understand the client's fund structure, current processes, scope of asset classes, and bespoke requirements
• Act as a leader in the group with ability to guide more junior employees and provide as a point of escalation on the team
• Manage the client expectations for service delivery and uncover/resolve any gaps
• Drive the client experience with authority and domain expertise
• Produce updates to senior management for the clients in the implementation phase
• Setup foundation data within HFS systems including funds and accounts
• Ensure all groups have completed their implementation responsibilities prior to go-live
• Develop a sufficient level of shared service knowledge, diving deeper into specific areas where detailed client requirements are present
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts to troubleshoot problems and derive solutions
• Facilitate and provide structure for regular client meetings during the implementation (e.g. produce agendas and document takeaways and key decisions)
• Writing and managing detailed project plans; developing innovative process workflows (as needed)
• Understand the technology platform and its functionality
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Escalate appropriately to senior management
• Build and maintain strong internal relationships
• Interface with internal and external IT to ensure all setups are complete
• Identify and communicate bespoke client requests (for reporting and other IT builds) according to established guidelines
• Perform and review completion of related internal controls for SSAE 16 compliance
• Actively participate in the process to evolve the group's processes and tools - innovation

Knowledge and Skills

• Handle multiple concurrent assignments under challenging and changing conditions
• Plan-centric mentality - Excellent organization and time management skills
• Work well under pressure and be assertive in driving stakeholder engagement
• Understanding of hedge funds and/or alternative asset managers
• Manage expectations with clients and internal stakeholders, including delivering tough messages
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills - including in unfamiliar domains
• Adaptive self-starter with a can-do attitude - must be comfortable working with ambiguous and dynamic conditions
• Knowledge of fund administration business or fund operations
• Willingness to escalate issues and put forward solutions
• Inherent curiosity and drive to understand the business and improve the service model
• Pro-active approach to accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Proficient use of Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Experience Required

• Capital markets and/or fund administration knowledge
• Project Management, consulting, or fund operations experience preferred
• Accounting or Finance degree preferred
• Demonstrated experience with delivering projects with direct accountability
