As a financial accountant, you'll be responsible for supporting financial decision-making by collecting, analysing, investigating, and reporting on financial data. You'll help build on and improve current processes and spot trends and anomalies within the underlying financial data.

Description
The key responsibilities of Financial Accountant will be:
- Dealing with accounts payable entries.
- Preparing suppliers payments.
- Maintaining accounting records and making sure accounting entries are accurate.
- Preparing the financial statements under IFRS.
- Documenting and maintaining accounting policies and procedures under IFRS.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and making sure fixed asset additions and disposals are correctly recorded.
- Overseeing the month end process, including reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing analyses of income and expenditure accounts
- Preparing tax returns.
- Playing a lead role in internal and external audits
- Deputising for the financial accounting manager as and when required.
- Building effective relationships with colleagues in finance and performance
Profile
The successful candidate for the role of Financial Accountant must be:
- A finalist ACCA/CIMA
- holding an up-to-date knowledge of IFRS
- being able to demonstrate knowledge of financial reporting standards or UK accounting standards and current developments would be desirable
- having proven experience of working in a similar role in a finance team
- being very comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office
- demonstrating the ability to work with a variety of accounting packages
- being highly numerate
- demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
- showing that you have excellent attention to detail
- being able to hit deadlines even when the pressure is on.
- having strong relationship building skills.
- being able to solve problems and using your initiative to deliver effectively.

A competitive salary of £40,000-£50,000 plus extensive benefits.
