This Senior Management Accountant/ Business Partner will focus on the delivery of the day to day operations of the Management Accounts Team whilst also providing timely management information and reports to budget holders.
This Finance Business Partner will identify opportunities to develop the management reporting to ensure that that it accurately reflects the organisations priorities and strategies and lead on the implementation of the development of the management reporting.

Senior Management Accountant / Business Partner
Key responsibilities will include:
To lead the Management Accounts Team by ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner through communication and management of weekly, monthly, and annual work schedules consistent with the overall Finance team plan.
Work in partnership with budget holders, to understand the delivery of their business activities in order to provide appropriate financial advice and challenge
To manage and lead on the annual budgeting process, producing a balanced in-year and four year financial plan and work with the Head of Finance, Strategy and Risk to ensure alignment with the operational planning process
To lead on the review of team's budget submissions and to ensure that they are critically assessed, complete and that any risks or opportunities are recorded.
To review the consolidated budget pack produced by the Management
Responsible for producing an accurate and detailed short-term and medium-term staff budget and forecasts that provide visibility on ongoing staff cost that easily aligns to the four year plan
To lead on the monitoring and reporting of the organisation's financial position and forecasts against budget allocations, including the assessment of any emerging strategic risks and opportunities.
Responsible for the all financial management reports and dashboards, ensuring that these are designed to best facilitate the financial decisions made at director and board level.
Profile
The successful Senior Management Accountant / Business Partner:
Professionally qualified accountant and a member of a recognised accounting body (i.e. ACA. ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
Demonstrable experience working at equivalent senior level in Management Accounting.
Experience of working within Central Government would be desirable.
Experience in managing would be desirable
High level of skill in use of spreadsheets and financial modelling
Experience in using Open Accounts and Ebis would be desirable
Experience of Public Sector and Government preferable
