About Financial Advisory

Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value.

Restructuring Services assist financial and corporate investors in assessing investment opportunities and providing professional advisory services to support them in making effective and timely business and investment decisions concerning their outbound, inbound or domestic M&A transactions.

Work you'll do:

  • Analyze business financials to improve client's liquidity, credit availability, and shareholder's return

  • Perform modeling and analysis to support strategic operational and financial improvement initiatives

  • Apply high-level understanding of various insolvency/bankruptcy processes to draft progress reports, set up internal trading schedules/models, and deal with creditor claims and disputes

  • Anticipate emerging threats through the use of market-leading technology to uncover possibilities that others may fail to find

  • Select appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data, and develop informed recommendations to alleviate business concerns

  • Apply finance knowledge to effectively diagnose a crisis situation and/or help stabilize a client's business

  • Produce a high quality work product and collaborates with others to deliver a superior client experience

  • Manage own work in an ethical manner with a continuous attention to quality and risk rules, and confidentiality

  • Build models that are sophisticated, robust, and easily interpreted to inform insights

You are also expected to:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or related disciplines

  • Certification of CICPA, HKICPA, Lawyer Certificate or relevant qualification is preferred but not essential

  • More than 3 years' relevant work or audit experience preferably in reputable professional firms

  • Knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations is preferred and/or hands-on experience in restructuring or liquidation is preferred

  • Strong analytical skill with high commitment to quality client service

  • Good sense of business, good consultation and communication skills, self-initiation, good team player and willingness to work under pressure

  • Mature, proactive and committed

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, good documentation and presentation skills

  • Willing to travel
