Description

  • Ensure that the Bank complies with CCRIS guidelines and timelines for data submission to BNM in all aspects as part of the role This includes ensuring all CCRIS reporting are adhering to Statistical Reporting Enforcement Framework (SREF) standards and minimize all classifiable non-compliance items related to Non-Submission, Late Submission, Incomplete Submission and Inaccurate Submission items and provide
  • justifiable rationale (if any) for the above In addition, any exemption arising from non-compliance items must be aligned to exemption standards per BNM
  • Act as Bank's Senior liaison officer for CCRIS unit to deal with BNM in all CCRIS related matter and ensure all CCRIS data verification queries are attended to on timely manner as specified per BNM standards and responded to BNM within the specified timelines As there are only selected senior relationship managers to deal with BNM and these are endorsed and only recognized by BNM, he will represent and be responsible both consumer business (GCB) and corporate business (ICG) with regards to all matters relating to CCRIS and bureau statistical matters pertaining to CITI
  • Analyze all discrepancies on CCRIS data and attend promptly to the data rectification process on all rejected data/data quality report from BNM followed by bank's corrective/remedial actions internally (if any) and ensure proper closure to all such actionable items in an effective and timely manner
  • Escalate and resolve any operational issue and challenges faced by the Bank's CCRIS unit in preparing statistical reports or data to BNM including follow ups with all relevant business units on the progress of updating of decision credit application statuses and all application reporting streams
  • Perform relevant reconciliation between CCRIS files and Host data prior to CCRIS submission to ensure quality reporting and accurate standards
  • Lead CCRIS projects and ensure all CCRIS requirements are duly reviewed Include work closely with Technology and relevant business units for systemic fixes or operational changes to constantly improve CCRIS data quality including participation in UATs where required
  • Report and timely escalate any reporting breaches in line with SREF or any BNM policies to CCO, Head of Reporting, Country Risk Manager, Credit Bureau Management Head accordingly This would include any security breaches committed by the Bank's CCRIS users for onwards reporting to Management
  • To manage CCRIS unit's liaison with any third party vendors (present or future) relating to CCRIS reporting and operations and ensure all issues are reviewed, escalated and resolved in an effective and timely manner without impacting reporting standards In this aspect, to take on the BAO (Business Account Owner) for the third party and ensure all Third Party Management processes (including negotiations and signing of Master Service Contracts/MSA & maintenance contracts are performed) are complied with and managed accordingly to 2 platforms ie B2B (application submission and Universo (reporting module) He will also ensure that escrow contracts are available with relevant alternate 3rd party to ensure operations sustainability
  • Act as functional owner for all GRITT reports inventory related to CCRIS and perform necessary reviews and periodical attestation of GRITT standards to regional in aspect of local regulatory reporting
  • Function will require him to provide continuous inputs and represent the department in relation to CCRIS reporting standards, quality, operation and control environment to country BRCC, LRRGF, LRRGC and regional LRRGC (as and when required)
  • Responsible for quality monitoring processes including MCA (also ensuring all other upstream providers/relevant departments' s MCA relating to bureau processes) and act as lead personnel during Internal Audit and External Audit reviews as determined for all CCRIS related matters
  • Be responsible to establish and maintain a superior mechanism process to monitor and identify any weakness in data management and internal control which would jeopardize the bank's compliance with all BNM's policy documents This includes being owner and lead a DataMart made available in CITI to house all reporting dimensions for CCRIS that is able to perform data tabulation and comparison with other local regulatory reporting submitted by CITI from other departments/units especially FINCON so as to ensure minimal reporting divergence is observed between CCRIS and GL reporting
  • Lead and ensure all Credit Bureau Gold standards are applied in CITI as prescribed by Regional Risk requirements and ensure implementation, operating standards, annual attestations are performed adequately This function will include responsibility of working with other Group/Department Heads in ensuring that all other departments maintain the gold standards as prescribed by Regional Risk and represent country in relation to this with Regional Risk
  • As BAO of third party applications, function will require him to review efficiency of the B2B platform/servers/channels periodically to allow for the bank to maintain a superior edge in terms of TAT in credit application processing space This will include consultation with all business groups, credit operations and local technology for all new and existing application process streams including internet channels
  • Ensure COB environment and processes are adequately available and tested periodically This include both application processing platform (respective credit, mortgage, internet gateways) and back end reporting platforms
  • Responsible to ensure Annual Financials in relation to CCRIS and Third Party are submitted for budgetary projection purposes and ensure that actual expenses/project amortizations are matched to annual costing
  • Actively participate in the implementation of BNM's Integrated Statistical System (ISS) and coordinate all operational requirements for subsequent implementation including UAT etc
  • Attend to all CCRIS related internal and external enquiries/complaints and respond on prompt basis
  • Attend to the processing of applications for iVEST cards/token, payment of annual subscriptions, revocation of user Ids, transfer of customer data, change of management setting etc
  • Ensure process of monthly CCRIS payment and allocation of monthly billing to respective business units
  • Responsible to initiate P&L losses approvals and subsequent chargebacks on any SREF related fines from BNM and ensure ORION reporting is updated upon such scenarios
  • Additional responsibilities assigned on ad-hoc basis


Qualifications

  • Graduate, preferably in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Computing or Statistics
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of work experience - preferably in banking / financial service / analytics industry Experience in a multinational bank with Credit or Risk Management experience would be an added advantage
  • Hands-on knowledge of the Bank's Cards & Loan Application System, Host System and CCRIS mechanism
  • A sharp eye for accuracy & details, sound analytical & assessment skills and able to work independently
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of analytics tools eg in SAS / other database query programs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
