A global business in Watford are seeking a Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Varied role with 2 direct reports involving system implementations and projects.
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 with great benefits, a laid back culture and a role with progression. You will ideally have a background in Payroll Management and have a strong character in order to deal with a complex payroll and work well under pressure.

My client are a global Retailer who have stores across the UK and beyond. They have a large Head Office in Watford and are seeking a Payroll Manager to manage 2 direct reports and run Payroll projects. You will be given a competitive salary, career progression and a fast paced role.
Description
- Lead and manage the UK payroll processing for around 1,500 staff members
- Deliver accurate reporting and information required to key internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring relevant compliance for tax, NI, minimum and living wage
- Working with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting is provided for required financial reconciliations
- Ensuring the team delivers a top service to the rest of the business and resolves queries to the help desk within agreed service level
- Ad hoc reporting
- Assisting the Head of Payroll with system implementations
- Ensuring the correct benefits are available and paid to employees against their grade and benefits package and reflect promotions and role changes
- Regularly review regulations to ensure pay and benefit policies and procedures are up to date and compliant
Develop internal processes to ensure errors are limited, and robust checks are in place
Profile
- A background in managing a Payroll team is essential, ideally 2 plus
- Someone with a strong character who works well under pressure
- Ideally experience of Monthly/Weekly payrolls
- Living local to Watford
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident manager who is a natural leader
- Reporting skills
