The Role Responsibilities
  • Support Regional Head of BSM to drive the GCNA Regional ALCO ("RALCO") agenda with respect to optimisation of regional liquidity and balance sheet, driving quality deposits and assets.
  • Maintain good understanding of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to capital and liquidity reporting and ensure that the countries within the region have appropriate controls in place and remain compliant.
  • Ensure there is effective analysis of changes to current regulation that are applicable both from Group and country regulators.
  • Work with Group Treasury and Finance to set and manage the capital and liquidity framework within which the GCNA region operates, ensuring that the outcomes for the GCNA region are well understood and, where applicable, balanced.
  • Ensure RALCO has the proper governance oversight over the GCNA consolidated balance sheet as well as the various regulatory and internal liquidity stress metrics.
  • Enable RALCO to set strategic direction on liquidity and capital management for the region.
  • Ensure effective communication and interpretation of capital and liquidity policies and other control requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Strong understanding of Basel related capital and liquidity requirements.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of Finance related work experience in the financial industry.
  • 2-3 years of experience in balance sheet management in the financial industry.
  • Ability to lead and drive initiatives with a structured and focused approach.
  • Effective team and senior stakeholder management skills and experience in an international environment.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results.
