Accountant

On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Accountant to join their long standing finance team.

Description

The successful applicant for this role will be responsible for the following key duties:

• Assist with the preparation of management accounts comprising of preparing, processing and recording bank transactions, processing purchase, sales and general ledger.
• Assisting with the preparation of management and statutory accounts
• VAT Returns
• Balance sheet reconciliations and financial control
• Working with the wider finance teams to continually improve processes and automate reporting
• Cash flow reporting
• Contact for external auditors both at year end and interim

Profile

The successful Accountant will have significant proven experience in an Accounting role. Must be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work using own initiative with little supervision. Must have good attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines.
