A rare opportunity has arisen with a leading international manufacturing business based in Stockport for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. This company have recently invested in new offices and are looking forward to future growth expansion in 2018/19. The company have recently won a number of industry awards and are recognised as one of the global leaders in their sector.

Description

The role of Assistant Accountant is a temporary contract for up to 12 months initially.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller and will have the opportunity to look after:

* Bank Reconciliations

* Payments via Bank and Inter-Company accounts

* Posting of receipts and payments on to SAP

* VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales returns

* Branch account administration

* Oversee Intrastat and EC Sales returns

* Trade Receivables Reporting

* Commission reconciliations and associated payments

* Inter-company confirmations

* Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Financial Controller

Key Performance Measures

* Production of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual information for completion

* Reconciliation of specific general ledger accounts / Inter-company bank accounts

* Meeting HMRC monthly deadlines

* All foreign currency contracts are covered by forward hedging

* Ensure bank reconciliation are produced in a timely manner

Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

Have previous experience of bank reconciliations

Be AAT Studier/Qualified or be qualified by experience

Ideally be confident with excel to v look up and pivot tables level

Be available to consider a temporary contract
