Job Summary:
Guide team members to resolve issues and to ensure the audit working papers and audit reports are completed within the timeframe given.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out on job review for the audit jobs.
- Carry out audit jobs assigned by supervisor within the timeframe given.
- Prepare and finalize audit working papers and audit reports assigned by immediate superior.
- Manage and guide juniors on engagement teams and review their work.
- Guide team members to timely completion of audit working papers and audit reports in compliance with relevant standards and by-laws
- Resolve problems raised by team members in a timely manner to avoid work disruption.
- Liaise with clients on all aspects of the engagement including highlighting to the client the issues related to accounting or other related areas.
- Report on audit work progress and critical issues to Assistant Audit Manager, Audit Manager and client as and when necessary or as per planned work schedule.
- Support team members in resolving audit issues with client during the audit field work.
- Attend exit meeting with client and manager and to present the audit report where required, highlighting issues and tax computation.
- Monitor monthly performance/achievement of KPIs set by management and take corrective action where required.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- Partial professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3-4 years audit experience
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good client management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Audit report writing skill
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Able to work under pressure and effectively in a deadline-driven environment
