We are searching for an exceptional Finance Manager to join our team to assist us to continue driving our business forward. The ideal candidate will have previous Finance Lead experience in ground transportation, logistics or a similar background. We require a dynamic and driven individual who can co-ordinate with multiple departments effectively to ensure the Finance department becomes a core and effective function focused on driving results and customer service. Any potential candidate must have good communication skills, be a strong partner to Managing Director and have experience in managing and inspiring a team. The role:
Responsibilities:- • Provide leadership and direction for Finance operations which includes weekly and monthly reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and cash management. • Develop a productive working relationship with the Managing Director with particular focus on investment appraisal; expansion opportunities; driving value to the bottom line • Develop a productive working relationship with the Operations Manager focusing on weekly and monthly reporting; cost-effective management of resources; fleet strategy and results analysis • Develop productive working relationships with the Sales & Events teams with a focus on Weekly sales reporting and analysis and open and effective communication • Implement strategic plan to advance the company's objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization • Be a key business partner in developing the fleet purchase and disposal strategy • Achieve performance goals and KPI's which are aggressive, real and tied to overall company strategy and goals. • Attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain staff, deploy them in an effective manner, and ensure effective succession planning is in place. • Have a complete grasp of the market, emerging trends, customer needs, available products and service • Monitor departmental performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken. • Where necessary represent the company in establishing and continuously growing relationships with business partners, customers and vendors. • Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and revenues for the company. • Assist in driving firm growth through new business development Desired Skills and Experience Person Specification: • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Finance Management Role, • A strong track record in a management role in a high growth organisation and industry. • Client focused, with a proven track record of success in driving sales and profits • Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work on his/her own initiative. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong ability to work in high-pressure situations, and excellent business acumen. • Track record of improving the profitability and value of a firm or business unit in a leadership position
