This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced credit controller to join a growing team and report directly into the European credit manager. Description
Credit Controller Responsibilities:
- Maintain aged debts
- Chasing of customer debts - required to chase smaller customers via telephone and email in order to recover outstanding monies due to the business
- Pro-actively monitor invoice collections for the company smaller accounts
- Undertake any ad hoc administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the department when and as required.
- Evaluate accounts for debt collection and legal action, escalate where appropriate to the European credit control manager.
- Process, maintain and promote the direct debit system which is used as a payment method by some customers
- Answer queries and enquiries from internal and external customers.
- Liaise with debt collection agency at all stages regarding accounts referred for debt collection action
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for other members of credit control team.
Profile
Credit Controller Requirements:
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
- The ability to manage workload under pressure
- Previous Credit Control experience is preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to build relationships
- Excellent team work skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong telephony skills and good communication
