My client is looking for a highly commercial Part Qualified individual with excellent Excel skills to join their large Finance team as a Finance Analyst.

Description

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for:

  • The production and presentation of the profitability of specific elements within the business along with supporting the Pricing manager on strategic activities.
  • This role supports the Planning team by providing insight and analysis into specific revenue profitability.
  • The role is required to liaise with and present to a variety of stakeholders thus written and verbal communication skills are key requisites for this role.
  • The Finance Analyst will create profitability reports highlighting any deviations from the original pricing for the budget, and forecast. To do this effectively you will need to understand how unforeseen costs and revenues have impacted the overall profitability, communicating your outcome to the Planning Department and Commercial finance teams to support the decision making.
  • Presentations will be made to different stakeholders to support pre sign-off discussions.
  • The Finance Analyst will own the ad-hoc pricing process. He/She will also support Business Case activities with scenario analysis for the Commercial and Planning Department.
  • The Finance Analyst will perform competitor analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses and raise awareness amongst different stakeholders.
  • A key part of this role is forming strong relationships with key finance and non-finance colleagues so that they provide you with the necessary information required in a timely manner to enable you to deliver.
  • Process Improvement - Operating within a continuous improvement environment, you will be driving improvements in the quality, understanding and presentation of pricing and profitability.

Profile

The successful candidate will be actively studying for ACCA or CIMA, have Excel modelling experience (ideally VBA) and previous business partnering experience within their current role.

Job Offer

The salary on offer is in the range £38,000 - £45,000 dependent upon skills and qualification plus an extensive benefits package and study support.
