Management Accountant

My client is currently recruiting a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis in Bath

Our client is a well known business in Bath and have an excellent reputation in the local area. They are looking to grow their finance team with the addition of a management accountant

Description

The Managemetn Accountant will;

• Support the Senior Management Accountant in order to provide financial information to the four UK business units.

• Look after the management accounting for the overhead departments (forecasting and reporting of costs).

• Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts

• Assist in preparation of business unit P&Ls.

• Assist in budgeting process for business units and overhead departments.

• Deputise for the Senior Management Accountant in forecasting meetings.

• Accurate filing of invoices.

• Update all reports and systems for when new products are acquired.

• Reconciliation of sales and cost of sales

• Accruals and Prepayments

• Check of gross margins for every product to ensure correct sales price charged to customers.

• Month end corporate reporting

• Ad-hoc queries - to include analysis of sales and costs and assisting the business development team and other departments.

• Improvement of reporting and company systems.

• Develop peer group working relationship

• Develop relationship with Management Accountants and Financial Accountant.

• Develop relationships with Business Unit Directors and cost centre holders.

• Develop relationships with other support functions

Profile

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in management accounts and be working towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA). AAT qualified candidates will be considered as long as you have management accounts exposure

Job Offer

A salary of up to £35,000 is on offer depending on experience
