Description
As Finance Manager - Financial Accounting you will use your accountancy skills within a diverse finance team responsible for a wide range of functions, including:
* Delivering the Annual Report and Accounts including production of the Consolidated Group Accounts; and
* Leadership of the Accounting Policy Centre of Excellence for the over 400 separate entities.
Key areas of delivery will include:
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Prepare briefings for senior managers on technical accounting issues, including the accounting implications of various business proposals.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to the organisation and over 400 separate entities.
Profile
To be successful as a Finance Manager - Financial Accounting, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
- Fully qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CIPFA or equivalent
- Have a thorough knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles, including International Financial Reporting Standards, preferably in a central government, NHS or wider public sector context.
- Experience in leading and managing teams, and working effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both in drafting and in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Good organisational skills and a proven ability to plan and manage competing priorities.
Job Offer
Salary of between £47,000 - 48,000 depending upon relevant experience.
