My client is looking for a superb credit controller to start as soon as possible for two months with a good chance of extension for the right candidate.

Duties

· Actively support the Head of Credit Control in the achievement of weekly recovery targets as part of the reduction of the clients debt provision.

· Review the delinquent loans daily to ensure that prompt and appropriate action can be taken in keeping with the clients Policy

· Work with delinquent members to address each default and obtain payment or implement a restructuring plan.

· Deal with internal/ external queries about payments, to facilitate timely repayments .

· Ensure that all letters are sent out as per Policy and that all actions are taken prior to the commencement of Court action

· Update all relevant personal records on the database to ensure you are able to contact the member or a referee via landline telephone, mobile and email in the event of default.

· Keep an accurate record of all customer contact , telephone calls , e-mails and progress being made to ensure that appropriate recovery measures can be taken

· Ensure that all processes in debt recovery are followed diligently in keeping with Policy and FCA guidelines

· Maintain a professional standard of service and perform all tasks with a high degree of efficiency.

· Execute any other duties delegated by Head of Credit Control

· Support the Head of Credit Control in :

a) ensuring that the G/L accounts correctly reflect the expected activities

b) following through the recovery process through the Courts and Bailiffs

c) maintaining relationship with the Head of Finance , Loans Team , Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will have:

· Proven ability in the execution of Credit Control processes

· Excellent advanced excel skills and good understanding of systems and data flows

· Ability to deliver recovery targets within strict deadlines

· Good understanding of PRA/FCA rules with regard to debt recovery process

Desirable

· Ability to present Credit Control information to a wide audience including non-finance stakeholders

· Good understanding of Balance Sheet Management and interdependence with Credit Control

· Familiarity with the PRA /FCA rules relating to Banks/ Credit Unions

First stage interviews will be week commencing 20th August 2018 with the intention for a candidate to start the following week.
