Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for a Head of Finance for a medium-sized but rapidly growing Housing organisation in Staffordshire. In an organisation with impressive plans to develop new properties, this role represents a wonderful opportunity to make your mark on the immediate future of the organisation.
With a new executive team in place, the vacancy comes at a time of exciting change, and would be either an excellent development opportunity for someone stepping up into the role, or familiar territory for someone with significant experience of senior Finance roles in the Housing sector.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the role oversees a team of around 7 staff, and will take responsibility for the bulk of the day to day operations within the finance team. While many of the team have been with the organisation long-term, the postholder will be required to inspire, motivate and lead the team to meet goals, and promote the overall success of a Finance function with customer service at its heart.
You will be responsible for the organisation's statutory accounts, presenting to the Board and playing a key role in the Senior Management Team, offering an expert financial service to other areas of the business. You will work closely with the Finance Director to prepare annual budgets, and through working with the Development Accountant, oversee the funding and cashflow of the impressive property development portfolio.
As a role of such high standing and importance to the organisation, you will be able to show an ability to work autonomously as well as manage and motivate a team. You will be a Qualified accountant (CCAB), ideally with Housing experience, though exceptional candidates without this experience may still be considered. Furthermore, experience of development finance will be highly advantageous.
Excellent communication skills are an absolute must, as is the drive to get out and about in the business. The organisation takes pride in being active in the community and the appointable candidate will share this passion.
Applications are being reviewed constantly and interviews can take place at short notice - please apply immediately if this role is of interest!
