We are a dynamic, ambitious and growing charity with around 100 employees and income in the region of £5.7m per annum. Our growth plans mean that we are looking for a technically competent, “hands on” Finance Manager to lead the development of our finance function. You should be a highly motivated professional able to work at pace in a changing environment. The charity is about to embark on the next stage of growth so this is a chance for someone to formulate ideas and make a difference rather than simply maintaining the status quo. You will manage all day to day finance operations, whilst also taking the lead in identifying and implementing improvements to our finance systems and processes to reflect best practise. You will have the opportunity to have a significant impact in modernising and streamlining the finance function and demonstrable experience of proactively improving financial systems and processes is essential. You will bring strong technical finance skills coupled with the customer service and interpersonal skills to deliver a high quality, responsive service to colleagues across the country. A positive solution-focussed attitude is essential, whilst strong planning skills coupled with the ability to multi task and see projects through to completion will be crucial to success in the role. Supporting the delivery of the charity’s strategic goals, you will be a collaborative team player, reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations and managing one to two team members. You will need to be comfortable switching from high level financial management and analysis to hands-on operational processing. You will be joining the charity at a pivotal time in its strategic development and will benefit from working with great colleagues who know that their work is making a difference to so many vulnerable and isolated people. Other benefits include contributory pension scheme plus 31 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays. Previous charity experience is not required and we welcome applications from those with relevant expertise looking to enter the sector. TO APPLY Download the recruitment pack for more information about the role. Then along with your CV, please include a covering letter no longer than 3 sides of A4 which clearly sets out how you meet the criteria in the person specification. In addition, please briefly answer the following 3 questions: 1) Why do you want to work for Nordoff Robbins? 2) How do you like to work as part of a team? 3) What would be your key priorities/actions during the first few weeks in the role? We will be unable to consider applications without a cover letter and response to these questions.
