Client Details

My client is a FTSE listed organisation based in the heart of Birmingham. Business performance has surged in the last 6 months thanks to growth in its international operations, meaning substantial year-on-year growth.

The Senior Financial Accountant is a key role within the Group Finance team of this FTSE business. The successful candidate will need to have strong technical experience from Practice, the ability to deliver significant accounting and systems projects and the ability to identify and implement process improvements across the finance team.

Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will partner with the business and be responsible for:

  • Managing and implementing the Groups IFRS 16 project. Including rolling this out to the various business units and managing all aspects of the changes to accounting and reported numbers.

  • Supporting business units with technical matters as they arise and also providing on-going challenge to existing practices.

  • Identifying and implementing a new Group consolidation system, working with external support, senior management and the business units

    • Profile

    As Senior Financial Accountant you will act as the subject matter expert for the business within a listed environment, the ideal candidate will be up-to-date with the changes in IFRS and be able to present clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.

    The expectation is that the ideal candidate will:

    • Be ACA or ACCA qualified with a grounding in an accounts practice

    • Have a pro-active mind-set and look to find a solution rather than seeing a problem

    • Want to challenge themselves in a progressive and forward-thinking business

    Job Offer

    £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) + benefits.
