The Global Travel Manager will be responsible for leading the travel category function for travel and corporate card in sourcing, operations and vendor management. The travel lead will also be responsible for driving the sourcing and SMMP within marketing and the rest of the business. The travel program has a managed spend of air and hotel of $110m p.a. with T&E being $250m p.a.

The travel manager role will be responsible for the travel policy and ensure the delivery of travel services to 53 countries. They will be required to work closely with Global Finance Services (GFS) to manage the card program and align with analytics/MI for travel visibility, compliance and leakage to senior stakeholders. The travel manager role has the potential to expand alongside the growth and development of the Travel category and Procurement structure.

The Role

  • Develop the travel category strategy and vision.
  • Manage the card strategy and growth program and partner with GFS to ensure the management of the card program.
  • Manage and develop the travel policy and procedures.
  • Manage and develop the regional travel team to deliver the travel program operations and sourcing activities.
  • Provide viability of travel data and related data to key internal stakeholders for decision making.
  • Lead the sourcing for hotel and air via our travel partners and other key sourcing activities by using the WTW sourcing process.
  • Engage closely with GFS to provide travel and expense reporting, compliance to programme and leakage reports to deliver to the business.
  • Ensure that GDPR process are maintained and kept relevant.
  • Ensure that all suppliers are information system approved.
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is a part of all decision making.
  • Engagement with senior stakeholders for travel category planning, data reporting and visibility and change management buy in.
  • Form part of the global procurement management team and develop the new procurement vision.
  • Engage with internal travel touch points i.e. Security, Insurance and partner with them for all sourcing activities.
  • Manage the sourcing process for meetings, partnering with marketing and SEM.
  • Drive the SMMP program within WTW engaging with marketing and SEM.
  • Develop the ground transportation model for WTW looking at chauffeur and on demand services.
The Requirements:

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of the global corporate travel industry with experience in managing travel agencies across all regions.
  • Proven experience of managing corporate card programs, individual, pcard, supplier card and meetings card across all regions.
  • Proven experience in driving and managing a meeting program in a matrix environment to deliver a SMMP.
  • Experience in expense management is desired to integrate travel and expense process.
  • Experience in managing and developing a global team.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful projects, delivering reporting tools and insight capabilities in a large Global organisation.
  • Drive and enforce compliance to the travel policy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate performance metrics to senior management.
  • Strong change and communications skills.
