- You will be part of the PB Projects team, delivering change initiatives within Investec Private Bank on behalf of sponsors ranging from business to support teams. This includes both strategic and regulatory change.
- You will have the opportunity to partner with the business to deliver on initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle, starting at feasibility through to closure. All projects will be business driven and focused however not all will involve an IT component.
Key requirements of the role:
- You will need extensive project management experience in multiple areas within financial services and across the entire project lifecycle.
- You need the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes, managing and resolving different and sometimes conflicting requirements and priorities.
- You will be working in an environment where you will have accountability for individual projects or small change but also for contributing your skills and experience to the PB projects team and wider change community.
- You will be working on multiple projects or small change running concurrently and as such will need to manage conflicting priorities.
Core skills and knowledge:
- Regulatory knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory).
- To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our clients fairly (compulsory).
- We are looking for extensive project management experience in financial services - across all levels of the business; across geographies; both IT and non IT related.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- The ability to lead, influence and focus people within all levels of the business.
- Strong, objective facilitation skills to encourage collaboration, energise, and maintain participation.
- Emotional intelligence to ‘read the room', and the confidence to step in and actively resolve conflict when needed.
Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role:
- MS Project, Fluid and SharePoint skills desirable but not essential
- Project management accreditation preferred (e.g Prince2; PMP/PMBOK; Agile PM)
