BMC Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting this niche manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Credit Controller.

Working for this South Tyneside headquartered Group, you’ll be joining a small accounts receivable team, and will take ownership for the management of debt control activities for one of the Group’s core divisions.

Applicants should be knowledgeable of all aspects of credit control, with strong communication skills, and be able to build professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Contacting customers when payment is overdue via telephone, email or letter
  • Accurately updating credit records and account activity
  • Re-negotiation of payment plans
  • Setting up and maintaining customer files
  • Update payments received from customers against outstanding invoices
  • Tracing missing debtors
  • Use of SAP & Microsoft Excel on daily basis
  • Updating Financial controller with any bad debt and ledger anomalies
  • Assisting with streamlining of credit control processes

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Practical credit control background/experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • A proactive, team player with good organisational skills

Desirable skills:

  • Accounting background
  • SAP experience would be preferred
