Financial Controls Manager
My client is a large Financial Services organisation that requires an Financial Controls professional to join the Global Risk and Controls team on a 5 month basis. The role can be based in York or Norwich.
- You will communicate, report and influence senior stakeholders on the identification of risks and the assessment of the effectiveness of the framework of controls and the embedding of controls into strategic decision-making
- You will perform control testing in line with a Control Framework methodology.
- You will advise on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing and proposed processes.
- You will assist with special projects through a financial controls perspective.
- You will assist in ensuring that all control deficiencies are remediated appropriately and in a timely fashion.
Financial Controls Manager skills:
- Qualified accountant
- Audit / risk & controls background, ideally with experience in the financial services sector.
- They will need to be prepared to perform design adequacy and operational effectiveness testing of key controls.
- Performing and documenting testing
- Experience of influencing senior management
