Finance Analyst Assistant- Orpington
Purpose Statement The Finance Analyst Assistant is responsible for supporting the Finance Analyst in enabling the company management team to make sound commercial decisions based on financial information.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
• Report daily and weekly sales results to the management team identifying key variances
• Set up and review of customer rebate accruals and payments
• To work with central rebates and credit control teams to maintain fluidity of processes
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Report and monitor the division's key performance indicators; sales, profitability ratios, and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements
• To develop and maintain a good knowledge of company processes and procedures
• To apply accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of work, including the production of journals, routine reports and variance analysis
• To analyse financial information in response to queries from managers, suppliers and customers
• To identify and resolve errors and discrepancies
• To plan, organize and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the departments monthly and financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
• To input accounting data into the SAP with speed and accuracy
• To maintain accounting spreadsheets used in the Finance function Knowledge, Skills, Experience
• Candidate looking to study AAT or looking to take the next step in their career
• Excellent commercial acumen and a good eye for detail, coupled with a strong academic background
• Excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance individuals
• Accomplished interpersonal skills
• Very computer literate with excellent excel skills Desirable:
